Shaping neighbourhoods by building for the common good.
We believe that communities flourish when private enterprises work together for the common good. We’ve partnered with a diverse set of organizations that support their communities in Metro Vancouver and around the world.
Building For Generations
Marcon is proud to support Amica Senior Lifestyles Helping Hands Charity, who provide much-needed assistance to financially vulnerable Canadian seniors. Working together with residents in Amica properties, seniors in need are supported through financial donations and holiday gift baskets that include everyday essentials like warm clothing, blankets, and hygiene products.
Building For Bright Futures
For over 30 years Aunt Leah’s Place has aided kids in foster care and young mothers achieve a better future. Marcon is proud to support their incredible efforts, which provide safe housing, job training, and education on essential life skills to build personal independence and create a sense of belonging.
Building For Heroes
With the extreme weather conditions our province faced this year, many communities relied on search and rescue groups more than ever. Marcon is proud to support Coquitlam Search and Rescue, whose highly skilled team of volunteers risk their personal safety to put the safety of others first. We’re incredibly grateful for their ongoing efforts.
Building For Families
Marcon is proud to support Tri-City Transitions whose work supports all individuals who have experienced domestic violence and offers women and children a safe place to rest, rebuild, and restart for a brighter future ahead. They serve the communities of Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Anmore and Belcarra.
Building For Empowerment
Marcon is proud to support Employ to Empower whose work supports members of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside who face both work and social barriers. Their programs are focused on entrepreneurship and self-advocacy. Employ to Empower's mission is to provide every person that comes through their doors the opportunity to achieve long-term self-reliance, economic well-being, and a sense of belonging.
Building For Healthy Kids
Marcon is proud to support Backpack Buddies who work to curb childhood hunger, partnering with schools in Metro Vancouver and on Vancouver Island to deliver ready-to-eat meals and healthy snacks to kids in need. They are focused on ensuring no child goes hungry over the weekend, and that no parent has to worry about where the next meal will come from.
Building For Community
At Marcon, building for life means building for community. We believe the foundation of every strong community starts with a collective goal to come together and support those around us. We are proud to support The Kettle Society whose work serves vulnerable members in the Vancouver area through mental health programs, employment opportunities, supportive housing, advocacy services, homeless outreach and much more.
Improving Langley Memorial Hospital
Since 2017, the Langley Memorial Hospital has been campaigning to raise $10 million towards the creation of a new Emergency Department and MRI Suite – and soon this dream will become a reality. As Langley continues to experience incredible growth, updating community services to meet the demands of a thriving population is a necessity. Marcon is proud to be a hospital supporter and contribute to this vital improvement to the community.
The addition of these two features will positively impact the community in countless ways. The Emergency Department will better accommodate and care for those in all kinds of medical distress, decreasing wait times and increasing comfort during a painful and worrying time. The addition of an MRI Suite in early 2020, the only one in Langley, means faster diagnoses for patients in the community. Currently, Langley residents must travel to Surrey or Abbotsford for the advanced imaging technology and endure long wait times. Within its first 12 months, the MRI Suite at Langley Memorial Hospital will perform 7,500 exams.
There’s value in giving back to the community.
Coquitlam celebrates Canada Day
Having built new Marcon homes in Coquitlam, we are proud to be the presenting sponsor of Coquitlam Celebrates Canada Day for the second year running. Thousands of members of the community will gather in Town Centre Park on July 1st for entertainment, food, activities, and fireworks over Lafarge Lake. The family-friendly celebration is the largest and most popular event in the Tri-Cities, and is sure to be a day and night to remember.
Our 567 Clarke + Como and Regan West projects in Coquitlam are currently under construction, while Regan’s Walk is completed. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with the community through this event and others – an important part of being a homebuilder.
Supporting sport at Burnaby Lake Rugby Club
Sport goes a long way in building community and camaraderie. The Burnaby Lake Rugby Club (BLRC) is one of Greater Vancouver and Canada’s premier rugby clubs. The club is home to 250 players, ranging in age from 4 to 50 years old, and participating in teams of all skill levels. There are also 160 alumni members, making the club a community for hundreds of rugby enthusiasts.

Urban Structure Education
Urbanarium is helping to provide Vancouver with stimulating and easy to understand information about how our urban system works, the forces acting on it, the alternative futures and what can be done. Marcon is proud to be a founding donor of Urbanarium, and to support public dialog on the development of our cities.
Keeping Adventurists Safe
North Shore Rescue perform upwards of 90 search and rescue operations each year. Having built over 1,000 homes on Vancouver’s North Shore, we wanted to support an area where many Marcon homeowners call home. For every home sold at Mill House, Marcon’s Lynn Valley project, Marcon donated a portion of the profits to the Tim Jones Legacy Fund.
